Thank you for visiting our website. Totara Grove School is a primary school with students from Years 0-6. We are situated between the suburbs of Kamo and Tikipunga in Whangarei.
A sense of whᾱnau and community is a strength of our school. We provide an inclusive, nurturing and supportive learning environment whilst empowering and encouraging our students to develop self-management skills and take responsibility for their own learning.
Tupu Tahi – Growing Together, Standing Strong, Reaching High is our school vision and our goal is for all students leaving our school to be confident, capable, well-rounded, positive and resilient citizens and contributors to society who are achieving their potential academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Our Ngᾱ Mᾱtᾱpono school Ako values and guiding principles very important to us are-
Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Katiakitanga and Tῡ Rangatira.
At Totara Grove School, students are encouraged to look after each other and to be respectful, responsible and inclusive towards others. Teachers are responsive to the needs of each individual student and design learning experiences that are both meaningful and motivating. We have high expectations and high aspirations for all students.
